Faros stands on a seafront cliff, 40 meters above the sea, with a proprietary staircase into the bay that is virtually private . We are overlooking the Libyan sea with a view on Aniforas, a spectacular rock protruding into the sea and  the Paximadia Islands.

There is enough distance to assure privacy for everybody.
From the heated infinity pool you look straight into the bay and over the sea.
If you are courageous and have no fear for height you can walk the 166 steps (counting from the terrace) to the sea…there you are in a world of your own in a secluded bay. Sometimes the sea is like a mirror and you can see the bottom.
Often you hear the waves rushing to the shore. Its always amazingly relaxing. You may see the local fishermen cast their nets but you would have to be on time. You may see the boat pass from Agia Galini to Agios Pavlos and further afield en sometimes people fish from the rock opposite. But in general its peace and quiet @ Faros.
There is a countercurrent stream in the pool, if you want we can heat the pool in the cooler season
The kitchen is well equipped but we usually keep it simple, a salad, fresh fish on the barbecue, a cold Mythos from the fridge….
After a session in the Hammam you may see the stars or the moon reflecting in the pool…..
On the terrace, which is very well protected against the main westerly winds  you choose between sun and shadow, the barbecue area seats everybody easily and there are plenty of places on the other terraces and in the garden to find solitude.
There can be serious wind in the south but this also makes the high temperatures bearable. The house is designed to provide protection.
Description
Faros sleeps 8 persons in comfort in 4 bedrooms.
There are beds of 2.10 meters and of 2 meters. All beds manufactured by Cocomat, have separate matresses and comfy duvets.We have two cots for small children.
The 2 masterbedrooms have their own bathroom, the other two bedrooms share a large bathroom.
There is an extra bathroom for the pool, a toilet in each bathroom and an extra toilet for guests.
There is a possibility to add a studio which sleeps 2/4 people and which has a small kitchen and a separate bathroom with toilet.
The modern kitchen has an oven, magnetron, gas and electric cooking,dishwasher, a quooker and a Bora exhaust system so you can cook with a view….with herbs from the garden…
There is fireplace, underfloor heating and airco in all rooms and the studio.
There is a washing machine, dryer and washing lines but of course we can take care of your laundry
The veranda has a barbecue and a sink.
The large pool is heated and has a countercurrent swimming device
The beds will be made when you arrive and the linens will be changed midweek during the midweek cleaning. If you have any problem or question Kay and Pieter are close by and there is a book with the house rules and tips on what to do, where to eat etc in the area.
This is the first time we rent out a property, we hope you enjoy Faros as much as we do.
