Our family (6 adults, 4 children) spent two delightful weeks in Villa Faros in August 2022.
After a 2 hour drive from Heraklion airport under the blazing sun and winding roads, it was
magical to walk into the calm, cool and comfortable villa. Pure bliss! The house is very
luxurious. It has spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a cosy living
room. The playroom with the ping-pong table was a welcome ‘extra’ for the children, as was
the Hamman for the adults. But the real highlight was the infinity pool overlooking the sea – a
unique and truly breath-taking view, which we simply couldn’t get enough of. We enjoyed the
view from morning to evening, and from every corner of the house – from each bedroom and
terrace, to the outdoor dining areas where we sat for dinner in the evenings. The swimming
pool was perfect to swim in, both for grown-ups and young children. And the sea, at a short
walking distance down some rocky stairs, was great to snorkel in on most days (when there
weren’t too many waves). We ventured out of the Villa a few times to discover nearby beaches
and restaurants, rightfully recommended by our hosts!
Simply put, we had a memorable time in what truly is a little piece of paradise on earth!
